Instead, they’ve opted to shift the bus stop further down the street. The relocated stop now stands at Southeast 28th and Colt Drive. As the once-beloved city grapples with escalating crime rates and distressed residents voicing concerns over the safety of children amid the encampments, some long-time dwellers are reflecting on the city’s transformation, lamenting its current state and expressing a desire to relocate. “Hula hoop syndrome,” as one resident put it, describes the cyclical nature of the problem – address it here, it pops up there.
