Seattle ICE Signs: A $45,000 Virtue Signal

Seattle Mayor Jenny Wilson is taking dramatic steps to prepare for a possible surge of ICE enforcement activities in the Emerald City. However, City Hall says there’s no indication any operation in Seattle is in the works. Mayor Wilson sang in part, “Whoever you are and wherever you come from, >> if Seattle is your home, then this is your city.” >> City leaders have a quote responsibility to move quickly and get organized so we can keep people safe. >> Jenny Wilson has announced initial steps to address federal immigration enforcement actions in Seattle. In a statement, Mayor [clears throat] Wilson says she is taking quote immediate steps to bar federal agents from using city property for federal immigration enforcement activity.

That includes requiring Seattle police to investigate, verify, and document any reports of immigration enforcement in the city. That includes identifying potentially unlawful activity and gathering evidence for prosecutors. The mayor’s also calling on city departments and community organizations to foster information sharing with accurate, up-to-date information on immigration enforcement activities. >> Mayor’s also working on an executive order that would prohibit immigration authorities from using property that is city-owned and city-controlled for enforcement activities. >> The plan also includes a Stand Together Seattle initiative that invites private property owners to post notices that their property may not be accessed by federal agents without a warrant.

>> The sentiments were echoed by Police Chief Sean Barnes, who said, quote, “The police are here to keep you safe regardless of your immigration status.” Finally, the mayor says the city will invest $4 million in organizations that engage in immigrant legal defense, community support, and for the long-term needs of immigrant communities. But the fact is, you can’t interfere with the federal agents rightly en- enforcing federal law. ICE is, to be blunt, completely and totally out of control. >> If ICE escalates their presence in our state, we will need even more Washingtonians to step up and help.

>> My concern is an individual might hear this rhetoric from the governor and decide to physically confront a federal law enforcement agent in the midst of executing a an immigration warrant. All right. Here’s how I’m going to start you out with with this particular podcast from from my perspective. This is our new This is Katie Wilson, our socialist mayor here in Seattle, newly elected. She’s getting in there and doing some stuff. Take a look at this photo. This is not This is not AI. This is not photoshopped. This is literally our mayor and this is her response to a non- event, to something that has not happened and probably won’t happen, but she’s creating $45,000 worth of signs, like 600 of them, and they’ll be placed around Seattle, and they will read, “Pursuant to City of Seattle policy, this property shall not be used for civil immigration enforcement staging, operations, or processing.

City of Seattle.” Now, if you haven’t been to Seattle, um maybe you’ve watched some videos. Maybe you’ve seen some of my content. Seattle isn’t what we would call a rule- following city, if you know what I mean. Putting up a sign like this piece of absolute dog dung, because it’s completely unnecessary, is a massive massive waste of time, and this is one ginormous virtue signaling event. This is absolute insanity. What I’m what What I want to say is that in our parks, we have homeless people living in tents, running past prostitution rings by gangs, we have drugs being dealt, we have drugs being consumed.

There is litter everywhere. About every law that could be broken in a public park is broken daily in Seattle. And our mayor, our our esteemed socialist mayor, is going to put up $45,000 worth of signs that will have zero impact on anything other than a massive massive virtue signal. It’s just the craziest thing ever. I mean, there are signs everywhere saying, “Oh, there’s no camping here. There’s no urban camping in Seattle.” And you know what? There’s There’s tents everywhere. Tents litter the countryside. People live in the shadow of the Space Needle on city property, on city streets, on city sidewalks.

So, the It’s the mindset that I want to point you to here. Of just absolute mental incompetency, which is “Oh my word. See what they’re doing in Minnesota? Law enforcement is going in and kicking out the bad guys, the criminal illegals. Oh, we don’t want that here in Seattle. Let’s put up a sign. Let’s put up a sign because ICE is going to go, “Oh my word. This shall not be not be used for civil immigration enforcement? Oh, man, we got to go. Guys, pack it up.” Because you Do you know how the federal versus city local ordinance works? Yeah, federal trumps every single time. And I do mean trumps every single time.

So, the the can come in and do whatever the f they want. And this this this would be the whole thing is just a sham. It’s a massive massive sham. City of Seattle constituents, they they just sit around in a big circle jerk and say, “Oh, this is the greatest thing ever. Oh, we’re not we’re not going to allow ICE.” You know, these people are absolutely delirious. They are delirious and they don’t understand reality. And here we are holding up a sign. Here we’re holding up a sign. It’s madness. It’s sheer sheer madness. But, you know, that’s Seattle. That’s Portland. That’s Minneapolis. That’s LA.

Oh, going to virtue signal. No kings. Here’s a few other things that, you know, just absolute bonkers. City of Seattle Council, which is loaded with a bunch of nut jobs, unanimously approved a plan Tuesday requiring the police department to document evidence of potentially unlawful acts by Immigration and Customs Enforcement during immigration actions. Let me read that again. The police department, which is wildly undermanned, the only way they get through creating any sense of public safety is from massive massive amounts of overtime. You don’t have enough cops in Seattle. And you know what? We’re not really enforcing the laws here.

So, why would a sign and why would a dictate from the mayor requiring the police department to document evidence of potentially unlawful acts, why would that go anywhere? Oh, it won’t. It won’t. That’s the stupidest thing ever. This is literally just This is like first grade ideology. Oh, if I put up a sign, stay out, right? Stay out of my room. You you you put on your room when you’re in first grade because you see signs in in real life and you think, “I’ve got to do what they’re doing. I got to put up a sign. I want my brother to stay out. And what’s it do? Nothing. Dude just opens up the door, walks into your room, right?

Plan was first announced in an executive order, nobody cares. Tuesday city council vote codifies it into city law. You know what? And you just got a bunch of libtards sitting around going You know what I mean? It’s it’s hilarious. It’s hilarious that they think that this has It’s it’s like the no kings protest. Okay, there’s still no kings. There never was a king, but you guys can just you know, continue to, you know, tickle each other in the butt that this is a real thing when it’s just not. Cat Lowe, new president Seattle Police Officers Guild, did not respond. Mike Solan Solon did. Concept of pitting two armed law enforcement agencies against each other is ludicrous and will not happen.

Since when do we pit law enforcement against other law enforcement agencies? Well, you do that when your political party has been decimated by population shift, and then your political party basically takes down all barriers of entry into the United States, and allows 20 million criminal illegals to come into the country, and then your political party tries to keep those folks in the country so that one day, when there’s a Democrat in charge, those people will be able to vote. And you’re going to need to have them because all the people that are leaving and going to red states, uh, it’s not working out.

So, with with ICE, with law enforcement, which is always a thing, there’s always deportations. I laugh when when I see people saying, “Well, we’re just going to have to, you know, get rid of of ICE. We’re going to have to just defund ICE.” And you’re like, “You’re not doing that. That’s the stupidest thing ever. We’re not doing that. We’re going ham on immigration control for another 3 years, and you guys are going to like it. You guys are going to bend over, you’re going to take it, and you’re going to like it.” Mhm. How about them apples? Seattle City Council Public Safety Committee Chairman Rob Geddes said that Tuesday the measure was necessary given the unprofessional behavior of federal immigration agents during enforcement actions.

You mean when their lives were threatened and they pushed back and did what was within the confines of the law and a couple of libtards out protesting against law enforcement doing their job had their lives ended? You know, F around and find out, and they did, and it’s unfortunate. But you know, actions have consequences, and those that died died unnecessarily because they didn’t need to be out there protesting against ICE because guess what impact that has? Just like the signs we’re talking about. None. It has none. You’re You’re You’re You’ve got an imaginary friend if you think that’s going to have a real impact.

“Federal law enforcement actions with ICE and Customs and Border have not been to the standards that we expect from law enforcement.” Well, they’ve met my standards. They’re They’re They’re dumping out criminal illegals left and right. Couple million. Right? I mean, between who’s voluntarily left and 600,000 that have just, you know, been tossed. That’s That’s Those are standards. I mean, they might not be as aggressive as say Obama, but you know, I I think I think they’re doing a good job. Doing a great job. Under the resolution, Seattle police officers are required to investigate, verify, and document any reports of immigration enforcement activity.

I bet you they’re all over that, right? Cuz when you’re not running from a murder whacked-out nutjob homeless dude burning somebody else’s tent down or chasing them around with a machete, that’s what they’re going to do. They’re going to worry themselves, oh my word, is that an ICE agent over there? Oh my god, what’s he doing? I need to get out my journal, and then I need to go run and tell Katie Wilson, uh he was he the bad man, the law enforcement man, he was doing his job. It’s ludicrous. Like like Mike Sloan said, cattle retired Navy officer who has served overseas in conflict zones in the Middle East said he accepts the premise that federal immigration agents have the authority to operate in the US, but what we’re saying from federal agents in Minneapolis was substandard.

No, it wasn’t. It’s exactly what you think it was. Um Bob, you need to grab your balls and figure out how this game is played. So, [snorts] resolutions about leadership and the expectations we have from federal immigration agents, I think they’re doing a spectacular job. I think they’re doing a great bang-up job. And you know what? Despite the actions of like Boo Hoo Bob down in Portland who’s crying when when members of Tren de Agua get deported. You know what I mean? It’s just it’s absolute it’s insanity. We have never had a situation where the a political party in the United States has stood up and said, we don’t agree with law enforcement.

That tells you how desperate the Democrat Party is to hang on to what little tiny power structure now that Jasmine Crockett lost her primary. It it’s it’s it’s ludicrous. So, this is literally this is literally what Democrats are relegated to. Putting up signs that are going to be graffitied immediately that have zero impact because laws really aren’t enforced in Seattle, and the cops don’t enforce them, and the judges don’t enforce them. So, why put up the sign? Well, it’s virtue signaling at its finest. That’s what we do. No real action, but a lot of virtue signaling. Another part of the resolution requires city of Seattle to install more than 600 signs.

Those are just going to get torn down immediately, prohibiting ICE enforcement action on city property, including parks, city garages, and the Seattle Center. Oh, the homeless are going to love those. Uh they’ve got They’ve got new target for their graffiti, right? Signs have already started to be installed at the cost of 45,000. That’s some taxpayer’s money just absolutely just poured down the drain. Yep, as part of Mayor Wilson’s executive order. Okay. All right. So, that’s 45 grand we don’t have to actually house somebody who needs housing. And then we whine and complain about we don’t have enough affordable housing.

It It boggles my mind that this is what the city of Seattle has come to. This is what the city of Seattle voted into office. Absolute insanity like this. Just a bunch of nonsense that has nothing to do with reality. Are Are all the constituents in Seattle sitting around going, “Oh, we’ve got some signs up now. Oh, this is This is fantastic. We have signs up now. So, ICE won’t come. ICE won’t come and do their job. And you know what? I don’t think ICE is scheduled for any major deportations in Seattle. And so, all of this is much ado about nothing. Nothing. Nothing. They just want to It’s It’s It’s like the the the younger sibling who’s not getting a beatdown from the parents, and they feel like they’re left out, so they want a beatdown as well.

It That That’s That’s what Seattle is is is is acting like right now. They’re not getting any attention, so negative attention would be okay. Oh, we’re so afraid of ICE coming in. Are you really? Are you? Because who said Who’s Who said ICE is coming? They probably should with all the Somali pirate fraud that’s going on. Now, pirate fraud. The Somalis, they’re pirates. And they’ve got a lot of fraud. I mean, we we saw in Minneapolis hundreds of millions of dollars of fraud. So, what are we doing in Seattle? Are we getting, you know, a handle on the homelessness? Are we getting a handle on drug addiction?

We’re getting a handle on the wildly out-of-control fentanyl problem? We’re getting a handle on litter, graffiti, tents littering the streets? Are we getting a handle on prostitution on Highway 99?
